چکیده

Hartree-Fock calculations with the SKX Skyrme interaction are carried out to obtain a-decay Q values for deformed nuclei above Pb assuming axial symmetry. The results for even-even nuclei are compared with the experiment and with the previous calculations. Predictions are made for a-decay Q values and half-lives of even-even superheavy nuclei. The results are also compared for the recently discovered odd-even chain starting at Z5112 and N5165.

Ground state properties of the superheavy elements (SHE) with 108≤Z≤128 and 150≤N ≤192 are investigated using both the Skyrme-Hartree-Fock method with a density-independent contact pairing interaction and the macroscopic-microscopic approach with an average Woods-Saxon potential and a monopole pairing interaction. Detailed analysis of binding energies, separation energies, shell effects, single...

Isoscalar and Isovector Giant Monopole Resonances from a Continuum Hartree-Fock Method

We motivate and summarise some recent results in the application of formally exact boundary conditions in nuclear time-dependent Hartree-Fock calculations, making use of Laplace transformations to calculate the values of the wave functions at the boundaries. We have realised the method in the case of giant monopole resonances of spherically-symmetric nuclei, and present strength functions of 16...

Actinide collisions for QED and superheavy elements with the time-dependent Hartree-Fock theory and the Balian-Vénéroni variational principle

Collisions of actinide nuclei form, during very short times of few zs (10−21 s), the heaviest ensembles of interacting nucleons available on Earth. Such collisions are used to produce super-strong electric f elds by the huge number of interacting protons to test spontaneous positron-electron pair emission (vacuum decay) predicted by the quantum electrodynamics (QED) theory. Multi-nucleon transf...

0 Symmetry - Unrestricted Skyrme - Hartree - Fock - Bogoliubov Calculations for Exotic Shapes in N = Z Nuclei from 64 Ge to 84

By performing fully 3D symmetry-unrestricted Skyrme-Hartree-FockBogoliubov calculations, we discuss shape coexistence and possibility of exotic deformations simultaneously breaking the reflection and axial symmetries in proton-rich N = Z nuclei: Ge, Se, Kr, Sr, Zr and Mo. Results of calculation indicate that the oblate ground state of Se is extremely soft against the Y33 triangular deformation,...

Nuclear charge densities with the Skyrme Hartree-Fock method

Charge-density distributions and the associated nuclear radii are calculated with the Hartree-Fock method for comparison with available data from electron scattering. Two forms of Skyrme interactions are used for the calculations. As a further refinement the single-particle occupancies are constrained to values obtained from shell-model calculations. A significant improvement in the agreement i...
